Stardome Observatory: Dome show 'Astronaut' and rocket-themed activities. Two shows daily, 6-10 and 13-17 July. $10 children, $7 adults. Bookings essential. More information at the Stardome website.

Reach for the Stars: Kids will view the moon, planets and stars of the southern sky - an exciting and interesting guided tour and walk. At the Arts Centre Observatory, South Quad, The Arts Centre, Worcester Boulevard. 6-10 July, 8-9 pm. 7-13 years, caregiver required. Children $8 each. Booking not required.

The Canterbury Astronomical Society (CAS) Observatory at West Melton will be open to the public every night for KidsFest, from 7:30pm to 9:00pm, weather permitting. Check the front page of the CAS website at 6:30pm on the night for confirmation.
