Aug 8, 2009: The Levin Stargazers, a dedicated group of amateur astronomers, has won the Community Outreach award in the largest single science public outreach event ever held. “100 Hours of Astronomy”, a cornerstone project for this year’s “International Year of Astronomy”, was held earlier this year in April, when thousands of amateur and professional astronomers around the world made their telescopes available to the public.
Jul 1, 2009: Oxford dairy farmer and dedicated astronomer Stuart Parker is “over the moon” with his first confirmed discovery of a supernova.
